Heavenly Desserts have been busy opening new restaurants up and down the country. We filmed and edited some short promotional videos that focused on the whole consumer experience, from the store design and interaction with staff members to the enjoyment of the food itself with family and friends.
The footage was then re-formatted for paid social advertisements to encourage visitors to come and enjoy some (seriously delicious) desserts.
We met with the Digital Strategy team to discuss the kind of shots that would be required to ensure our footage would make an impact on social, both organically and via paid advertisements.
A special VIP event was held at each store before it officially opened – this is where we came along and filmed. We grabbed a mix of people shots, showing various demographics all enjoying their genuinely heavenly desserts, as well as the delicious food itself. And yes, we did get to try some of it. Perks of the job.
These videos were shot solely for social media purposes. Therefore, we opted to edit everything in a square (1:1) ratio. This ensures the video really stands out to people as they’re scrolling through their feeds as fills up more of your screen. We also filmed various portrait shots so the footage could be re-purposed for Instagram and Facebook story advertisements.
The videos went live on social in the lead up to the stores opening, helping raise awareness and generate interest among the local public. The client informed us that the success of the store opening was positively impacted by the paid social media campaign we set promoting the public launch.
